PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGAM | TUITION PAYMENTS
Tuition for the Professional Training Program is provided in the student’s fee schedule. VAB tuition and academic tuition (if applicable) is due in full at the time of registration. However, parents/guardians/students may be eligible to arrange a payment plan with VAB. FOR DOMESTIC STUDENTS ONLY – PTP tuition payments are split into equal payments across 10 months no matter how many classes there are per month. Payment plans are available only to families whose accounts are in good standing and who do not have a history of missed or NSF payments. Tuition owing from previous years or terms must be paid before registration is permitted for the following year, or before a student can continue in the second term. An NSF fee of $25 is due for every bounced cheque/payment. Additional Application Fee and Program Deposit (for program incidentals) will apply.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM | REFUND POLICY
DOMESTIC REFUND POLICY
An institution must refund all of the tuition and related fees, other than application fees, for a program that has tuition of $4,000 or more and does not require approval if:
- The student does not attend the program, and
- The institution receives from the student a notice of withdrawal or a copy of refusal of a study permit no later than 30 days after the later of:
- the start date of the program in the most recent letter of acceptance
- the start date of the program in the enrolment contract
The institution must refund the student within 30 days of receiving a notice of withdrawal or a copy of refusal of a study permit, as applicable.
*Please note: this refund policy does not apply to academic tuition.
In all other circumstances, VAB requires one full month’s written notice of withdrawal, and the remaining months of tuition will be reimbursed (if pre-paid) or monthly payments will be cancelled. This excludes the initial payment for September and June, which is non-refundable. Also, the Application Fee and Program Deposit (for program incidentals) are non-refundable and non-transferable. PSII/ Academic Tuition fees are non-refundable.
Students who are asked to withdraw due to a violation of school or program rules will receive no refund. After 30 days into a program, all fees up to and including June are owed in full.
If a student does not disclose all applicable medical history and preexisting conditions on VAB’s ‘Medical History Form’ (provided in the student’s registration package) and such medical history/conditions result in the student’s withdrawal from VAB and academic programming, no refunds will be given. All fees up to and including June will be owed in full.
If the student owes tuition or other fees to the school, the VAB Office will undertake the collection of the amount owing. Overdue accounts will be assessed interest charges of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) after 30 days.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM | HOMESTAY REFUND POLICY
Upon withdrawal from VAB’s Homestay Program, fees for the following will be owed regardless of the reason for cancellation:
- Homestay Coordination Fee is non-refundable.
- Homestay Accommodation Fee for the month of June is non-refundable.
- If needing to withdraw from VAB’s Homestay Program, one full month’s written notice will be required and one additional month of Homestay Accommodation Fee will be due.
