The Victoria Academy of Ballet (VAB) Audition Tour invites aspiring dancers from across Canada and around the world to audition for our Full-Year and Summer Programs. Open to students aged 11 and up, auditions provide an opportunity to showcase talent, potential, artistry, and musicality in front of VAB’s internationally acclaimed ballet faculty. We seek dancers who exemplify these qualities, reflecting the high standards of our programs.

Auditions focus exclusively on classical ballet, highlighting VAB’s dedication to training technically strong, versatile, and well-rounded ballet artists. Join us to take the first step toward advancing your ballet training with one of Canada’s leading dance academies.

Our 2026 Audition Tour is in full swing, welcoming dancers ages 11+ to audition for both our Professional Full-Year Programs and Summer Intensives.

These auditions are the first step toward joining VAB’s internationally acclaimed vocational training programs and advancing in classical ballet.

How to Register for Your Audition

Ready to join the Victoria Academy of Ballet’s Audition Tour? Registering is easy and can be completed in just a few steps. Whether you prefer to sign up online, attend a Zoom audition, or join us in person on the day of your city’s audition, we offer flexible options to support every dancer. You can register online by completing the form and uploading your required photos, register for a Zoom audition to receive your link and details, or register in person as a walk-in if online registration has closed.

Online Registration

Please complete your audition form and upload three photos: one headshot, one tendu à la seconde, and one first arabesque.

Walk-Ins Welcome

If online registration has closed for your audition city, walk-ins may attend on the day. Please bring exact cash for the audition fee.

Virtual Auditions

Zoom Audition

If don’t live in any of these locations, you can still audition with VAB’s faculty by participating in an online class via a live Zoom audition.

Video Audition

If none of the previous stages of auditions work, you can still audition via video, via video submission (accepted year-round).

Training Pathways

Victoria Academy of Ballet offers programs for dancers at all levels. The full-time Professional Training Program (PTP) provides advanced ballet training alongside half-day academic studies for middle and high school students, helping them develop both technically and artistically. The Bridge Diploma Program (BP) is designed for post-secondary dancers transitioning into early professional careers, offering intensive ballet training and performance experience. The summer Professional Dance Intensive (PDI) provides high-level training to strengthen technique, artistry, and stage experience for dancers of varying ages and levels.
