General Program Tuition

2021-22

Tuition is due in full at the time of registration. However, in an attempt to make tuition payments more convenient for families in full-year classes, VAB parents or students may be eligible to arrange a monthly payment option with the school. The monthly payments are split into equal payments across 10 months no matter how many classes there are per month. These payment methods are available only to families whose accounts are in good standing and who do not have a history of missed or NSF payments. Tuition owing from previous years or terms must be paid before registration is permitted for the following year or before student can continue in the second term. A NSF fee of $25 is due for every bounced cheque/payment.

Tuition Payment Options:

*For monthly payment, post-dated cheques or Pre-Authorized Debit only. Fees for September/June and Registration are due upon registration. Following monthly payments are charged on the 1st of each month, October to May.

Incidental (Costumes, Events, Workshops, Fees etc.) Payment Options:

VAB collects Recital Package fees for all students participating in recital performance classes. Students will receive a High Definition Link of the Year End Recital Performances, a commemorative VAB sweatshirt and purchase of their recital costume. Additional costume fees will apply to students enrolled in “add on classes”.

ALL RECITAL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.

For Combo Classes, Kinder, Pre-Primary & Primary Classes:

$125 Recital Package Fee is due November 1, 2021. Post-dated cheque payment must be submitted at the time of registration. If also enrolled in a performance add-on class, an additional $65 costume fee will be due February 1, 2022. Post-dated cheque payments must be submitted at the time of registration.

For Level 1 & Level 2:

$125 Recital Package fee is due November 1, 2021. If also enrolled in a performance add-on class, an additional $65 costume fee will be due February 1, 2022. Post-dated cheque payments must be submitted at the time of registration.

For Levels 3-8 and Afterschool Intensive Training Program:

$150 Recital Package fee is due November 1, 2021. If enrolled in Jazz and/or Contemporary class as well, an additional $80 costume fee (per class) will be due February 1, 2022. Post-dated cheque payments must be submitted at the time of registration.

*Please note that Youth Company students will be billed for costume and festival fees separately from the Recital Package*

*Please note, Recital Packages are only for students enrolled in performance classes. Students in Community Classes are not eligible to receive a Recital Package.

VAB requires one full month’s written notice of withdrawal, and the remaining months of tuition will be reimbursed (if pre-paid) or monthly payments will be cancelled. This excludes the initial payment for September and June, which is non-refundable. The registration fee and Recital Package fees, and additional constume fees (if applicable) are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Students who are asked to withdraw due to a violation of school or program rules will receive no refund. After 30 days into a program, all fees up to and including June are owing in full.

If the student owes tuition or other fees to the school, the VAB Office will undertake the collection of the amount owing.

Community Class (sessional class) tuition is non-refundable.

Upon withdrawal from VAB’s Homestay Program, fees for the following will be owed regardless of the reason for cancellation:

• Homestay coordination fee is non-refundable.
• If paying monthly, first and last month of the Homestay accommodation fee is due upfront and is non-refundable.
• If needing to withdraw from VAB’s Homestay Program, one full month’s written notice will be required and one additional month of homestay accommodation fee will be due.
