Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Admissions Lead thrives at attracting, enrolling, and onboarding talented and motivated international and domestic students for the vocational division including the professional training program and the post-secondary bridge program. The role directs all prospective student recruitment efforts including sourcing leads, responding to enquiries, application processing, organizing auditions, coordinating waivers, identifying academic supports, and liaising with finance. Overseeing all steps in the process requires impeccable relationship management, project management, and action orientation. The position is a key member of the leadership team and works closely with the Student Services Lead, Marketing & Development Lead, as well as the artistic team.

 

Accountabilities

  • Articulates the mission, vision, and values of VAB to all prospective students.
  • Oversees the prospective student experience including supporting all enquiries regarding the vocational dance division with VAB and the application process and requirements.
  • Builds and nurtures positive relationships with dance agents in other countries including Japan and Mexico to provide information about VAB and the vocational division.
  • Establishes a lead management system that identifies prospective student sources and supports efficient tracking and tiered acceptance systems in the recruitment process.
  • Develops and implements student recruitment initiatives, networking events, and distributes promotional materials.
  • Implements action plans to ensure that enrollment goals are met.
  • Manages all steps in the application and enrollment process for the vocational division as well as the international open division.
  • Oversees all vocational division audition scheduling, audition videos, issuance of acceptance letters, distribution of enrollment packages, and acceptance of fees and payments.
  • Leads accepted international dancers and families through the process of study permit applications, custodian forms, suitable academic programs, as well as providing support on homestay arrangements and establishing student medical coverage.
  • Collaborates with the VAB leadership team including the Marketing & Development Lead on all potential student interest, the Student Services Lead to ensure a great orientation and onboarding experience, and the Finance Lead to ensure payment processing is timely.
  • Manages relationships with all vocational and international open division students to support their ongoing needs.
  • Responsible for compliance, reporting, and audits associated with the Private Training Institute Branch.
  • Oversees the student database for the vocational division ensuring accurate and secure data entry, ongoing reporting, and maintenance.

 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in business or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years working with international students
  • Boundless enthusiasm and drive to achieve goals
  • Skilled in client and relationship management with a commitment to quality service
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge or experience in dance
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check
  • Occasional ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Standard first aid or willingness to become certified

 

Working Conditions

VAB is a bright and welcoming environment that is home to many dancers coming and going throughout the day. Our custom-built offices support collaboration and teamwork through shared workspace and an open lounge. Our facility is fully accessible and close to many amenities. This role may provide for some flexible and remote work.
