About Level 7.

Ages 14-18

Level 7 is part of our General Program and focuses on strong ballet technique as students mature and advance through their dance training. Students are evaluated through observation, checking for understand­ing, in-class activities to demonstrate learning, and discussion. Our Level 7 classes run September to June and include a performance in our annual Celebration of Dance in May.

Students in Level 7 must take the two Base Program ballet classes in order to be eligible to take the following Add-On Classes:

Level 7 Add-On Classes:

Ballet: The Add-On Ballet classes allow students to accelerate their ballet training and technique. This is a technique class, and does not include a performance.

Pointe/Mens Work: Students are strongly encouraged to take the Pointe/Men’s work class to continue their ballet progression.

Jazz: Students may choose to add the Level 7 Jazz class, which expands their dance vocabulary and helps develop greater strength in movement.

Contemporary: Students at Level 7 may choose to take contemporary, which nicely compliments their ballet training. Contemporary techniques focus on release, breath, and a more mature self expression.

*The Wednesday 5:30-7:00 pm is the recommended add-on ballet class, if selecting one ballet add-on.
